Business Development Manager

ClearView Imaging is a leading supplier of machine vision systems, components, solutions, and services. We supply Machine Vision components and systems to automate processes and essentially allow computers to see. These Machine Vision systems are used in a significant number of industries with multiple applications.

A bit about the role

 

·       To identify, follow up and qualify new customer opportunities. Leads could be provided or generated in different ways (prospecting, inbound marketing, exhibition, etc).

·       To advise potential new customers and provide technical, commercial information and guidance on suitable products based on their individual requirements.

·       To visit and meet with new customer opportunities, to understand more about their needs and present our products.

·       To support existing customers with all account management duties.

·       To plan and generate sales forecasts and internal sales plans.

·       To identify and develop business opportunities within various vertical markets, such as factory automation, food, automotive, logistics, scientific, pharmaceutical, etc.

·       To monitor sales activity for specific customer accounts and build up solid and fruitful relationships with the accounts you are responsible for.

 

A bit about you

 

You have been working in technical sales for at least 5 years, or you are an experienced and talented Engineer who wants to move into a sales role.

 

You love technology and learning new things. You want to be involved in solution selling and consultative sales.

 

You feel comfortable demonstrating technical products, in addition to providing technical presentations or webinars.

 

Experience in Machine Vision technology and/or software industry sales knowledge would be advantageous.

This is a graduate, customer facing role, mixing both commercial and technical disciplines, which can be a path to a career as a Business Development Manager or a Machine Vision Engineer. A bit about the role

 

  • Supporting customers with their technical questions and issues, providing technical information about our products and helping them with product selection, in addition to pricing, quotations and proposals.
  • Research and propose Machine Vision technology, products and solutions based on customers’ technical and application requirements.
  • Support our Business Development Managers by managing sales and technical based interactions with customers and following up on new identified opportunities.
  • Produce and present bespoke customer demonstrations and feasibility studies.
  • Remain up-to-date on industry trends, technology, applications, market activities and competitive products.
  • Represent us at trade shows, conferences, virtual evens and follow-up on leads.

 

A bit about you

 

You are a recent engineering graduate (Science or Engineering); you want a customer focussed role and you are eager to put your technical skills into practice by helping companies understand how to use Machine Vision technology and how to create great Machine Vision systems.

 

You are fluent in German and/or Spanish, in addition to English.

 

You love technology and learning new things. You want a career in technical sales, consultative sales, and applications engineering.

 

Experience in Machine Vision, Computer Vision and/or software development would be advantageous.

Service Engineer

A bit about the role 

 

You will be a member of our engineering team, reporting to the Technical Director. You will: 

 

  • Provide in-depth technical support and troubleshoot when issues occur to our systems and OEM customers, with a special focus on industrial cameras, but also supporting with issues and queries about all other machine vision elements such as lighting systems, software, IPCs and lenses.  
  • Assist in the creation of proof-of-concept, prototype, and demonstration systems. 
  • Use agile practices, processes, and tools to deliver an excellent customer support experience. 
  • Perform customer-premises installation, commissioning, training, repair and maintenance of our bespoke systems such as CheckMate Vision and VisionBox. 
  • Perform general mechanical, electric and electronic workshop activities as needed. 

 

A bit about you 

 

  • You have at least 3 years hands-on experience working with industrial hardware such as cameras, cables, computers, sensors, and electronics. 
  • You like fixing problems and helping people find solutions. 
  • You are able to work independently and to prioritise. 
  • You feel comfortable in communicating with customers, as well as writing technical documentation. 
  • You are happy to work with the other vision application elements including software, mechanical and electrical components. 
  • Strong plus if you have IT knowledge and know machine vision frameworks and libraries (e.g. Matrox MIL, OpenCV).
