Sales Manager (UK)

About the Role 

The Sales team is accountable for finding, winning and keeping customers; it's the driving force of our revenue generation. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager, UK is responsible for the creation and overall implementation of the UK Sales Plan, leading the UK Sales Team to find and win new business prospects and opportunities, as well as growing and retaining our existing customer base through strategic account management and partnership. 

The ideal person would be able to: 

  • Develop and lead on the implementation of a UK-wide new business sales plan that identifies and follows-up new customer opportunities from a variety of leads – these can be inbound marketing, exhibitions or the results of prospecting 
  • Ensure a driving approach to identifying new business opportunities within various vertical markets where we are present such as factory automation, food, automotive, logistics, scientific and pharmaceuticals (and others) 
  • Support and coach Sales Team members through the technical sales process, meeting with potential new customers to understand their needs and present our range of solutions 
  • Ensure the UK Sales team build and nurture existing customer relationships through joint business plans and strategic partnership 
  • Proactively manage the UK pipeline, generating UK sales forecasts, leverage tools available in CRM and role model good CRM use and management every day 
  • Represent the company externally through events, tradeshows, webinars or other industry events 
  • Lead the day-to-day functions of the UK Sales Team, including coaching, performance management, and supporting the recruitment, coaching and training of new hires 

About You 

Here are some of the attributes and experience we believe you will need to be successful in this role: 

Experience 

  • Strong track record in B2B sales in the Machine Vision industry or other similar technical industry, or a business that creates new technologies 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a successful sales team, coaching the team to exceed expectations 
  • OEM life-cycle experience would be an advantage 

Skills 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to skillfully navigate through a technical sales process and contract negotiations 
  • Confidence in managing a sales pipeline and driving engagement in CRM management 
  • Ability to translate long-term sales plans into action 

Mindset 

  • Commercial mindset, complimented by an ability to dig into technical specifications and solutions selling 
  • A positive and energetic approach, with a natural curiosity for technology and innovation

About the Role

Business Development Manager (Spain)

We supply Machine Vision components and systems to automate processes and essentially allow computers to see. These Machine Vision systems are used in a significant number of industries with multiple applications.

Sales Engineer (Germany)

About the role
This is a customer facing role, mixing both commercial and technical disciplines. 

You will receive full and ongoing support in terms of internal and external training, covering Machine Vision technology and professional sales training, provided by a worldwide leading sales training company.

On a daily basis, you will use your technical skills to help companies create great vision systems, ensuring you play an impactful, purposeful and fulfilling part in both your growth and the company’s growth.

  • You will identify and follow up new customer opportunities from a variety of leads – these can be inbound marketing, exhibitions, or the result of your own prospecting.
  • You will connect with potential new customers to understand their needs and to present our range of products and solutions.
  • You will support customers with their technical questions and issues, providing technical information about our products and helping them with product selection, in addition to pricing, quotations and proposals.
  • You will produce and present bespoke customer demonstrations and feasibility studies.
  • You will provide account management support to existing customers and build on and nurture existing customer relationships.
  • You will represent us at trade shows, conferences and virtual events, and follow-up on leads.
